N – my "awe-some" Brenners chick! We did it! We made it! We caught up – after soo soo long! Love that we can share and pick up where our e-mails have left off! You never cease to make me laugh and all the new news you provide me with keep me entertained and giggling to myself for days! Know that you're not in anything alone...you know where to find me!

J – where are you? Talk about MIA! Hope you're still alive – even if its just barely! Keep at it - in a months time it'll all be over and then, don't say I didn't tell you, we're gonna celebrate! Hmmm...until then, if you need help/vent, shout out!

A – yes, ok, so I know you're right although I wouldn't go so far as to say "always"! Thanks for listening - and repeating yourself a million times over with patience. Appreciate the support and yes, I'm working on it...

J – we didn't get karaoke round 2! But we did get egg chiffon and red bean pancakes! Your visit was too short...waaay too short! But nevertheless it was fantastic we could catch up and share and talk and SHOP in the limited time we had. Take care over there and keep me updated – about EVERYTHING! Hehe

M – I look back at the past 8 years and am amazed. Truly. I don't know what I'd do without you. Miss just hanging out and being crazy and LOUD! Waiting for your next "wanna go walkies" sms!

Friday arvo a courier walks in...he sees me – "Sheryl?"

Hmmm...unfortunately not – I take the HUGE box (which I almost dropped), parade through the office and call to the rest of the girls to follow me to Sheryl's desk...

We're all yelling instructions at the same time - open the box, read the card, call him, check if theres a ring! :) ok ok so we're a bit extreme!!

All is revealed - 2 dozen long-stemmed red roses-only roses, chocolate, essence, a vase...you know how it goes – but no ring...

That is, until Saturday!!

Thinking times...

Didn’t think I’d ever say this but I kinda miss my lifeguarding days...

Getting to work at 4:45am...in the dark...its quiet, peaceful...seems like the rest of the world is not yet up – no horns, traffic, sirens...just stillness...

Seeing the ducks floating on top of the water – the plastic snakes didn’t succeed in deterring them...steam rising...moon still in the sky...

A few hours later and the sun is up...the world awakens...the day has begun...

I miss my "thinking time"...dreaming time...hour upon hour of just imagining...sorting through would bes, could bes, should bes...

Walking round and round the pool...staring into the water...expecting to gain answers, to see something - standing on the edge...questioning...thinking everything through...

There was always something special and comforting in the "me" time - A peace that surpassed all understanding.

18 and finally "legal"

You're now 18...legal...no more fake ID's...off your L's and onto your P's...late nights out...partying...the wait is over!
